Welcome to Redlands

An abundance of room to sit back, relax, and enjoy life
Located south and east of Grand Junction lies the unincorporated part of Mesa County known as Redlands. A sprawling rural community that everyone falls in love with because of the crisp fresh air, the large private properties, and the activities and recreation for staying fit and healthy.
Redlands is a great community for those who don’t mind the commute. Many current residents commute 30 to 50 minutes on average. That is a small amount to sacrifice when considering a comfortable home on a spacious property with plenty of room to grow.
This community is spread out over a large area, and homes are in a wide range of sizes and styles. Many of the residences in the area are ranch-style, fitting the community's wild, wild west location.

What to Love

  • Large tracts of land with spacious single-family homes
  • A rural community spread over a wide area
  • Plenty of outdoor features and locations to explore
  • Easy access to shopping and dining
  • Popular community with retirees and families

Local Lifestyle

Living in Redlands is peaceful and private; homes are spread out to ensure a calm and quiet environment. Current residents of Redland value privacy, both theirs and their neighbors. However, that does not mean they are not friendly. Residents tend to be quite welcoming and make it a point to engage with others. However, they also understand that people move to this quaint community for serenity.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Coffee shops are popular in Redlands, the Trailhead Coffee and Cafe especially so. Here you can plan daily activities, meet up with friends, and relax.
A popular local dinner option is the Handlebar Tap House, where you can enjoy craft burgers and craft beers. There is also a scattering of fast food locations across the area. Make sure to visit the Redlands Mesa Golf Course restaurant called Ocotillo Restaurant and Bar at Redlands Mesa for delectable eats.
The dining options are limited in Redlands, so Grand Junction and Fruita are common dinner destinations. If you are just looking for a bite to eat, Fruita holds a wide variety of options. Just across the river in Grand Junction, the Mesa Mall offers many premium shops and restaurants all at one stop. You can even catch a movie at Picture Show at Grand Junction.
For a day of fun with the family, plan a trip to Bananas Fun Park in Grand Junction or the Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita.
