Located south of Colorado National Monument from Grand Junction, Glade Park is a community of vast open space. There is one store, a post office, and a fire department. There are many residential properties in Glade Park as well, but you won't see them unless you know where to look. 
 
Residences in Glady Park are lavish luxury estates and large ranch-style homes. There is nothing uncommon about that in western Colorado. What is uncommon, however, is the size of the land parcels these homes sit on. Properties here range from five-acre parcels to over 300-acre parcels.

There may be a commute for work and shopping, but explorers will be in heaven in Glade Park. Walk out your front door and head out on an adventure. Glade Park is located on the Colorado Plateau. From this location, residents enjoy amazing views of the Colorado National Monument, sandstone canyons, and countless other features and landmarks.
 
Grand Mesa National Forest offers more than 300 lakes across the 500-square-mile park. Here you can enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. Other activities in Glade Park include rock climbing, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, mountain biking, and four-wheeler riding. There are outdoor activities to enjoy at any age.

The Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department (GPVFD) is funded by donations and fundraising efforts. Each Friday of the summer the GPVFD hosts a series of free Movies Under the Stars. Though the movies are free to watch, there is a concession stand where hamburgers and hot dogs can be purchased to benefit the GPVFD. In addition to the movie, there is pre-movie entertainment, volleyball, tether ball, corn hole, and hay rides. All the movies are announced on their website and are entirely family-friendly. Not only is this a great event and for a great cause, but it is a fantastic way to get out and meet your new neighbors.
